Ethanol stocks are speculated to have a good return in the near future

Is this the right time to invest in ethanol. With problems in the Middle East, rising oil prices drive up demand for ethanol and other alternative fuels.

Besides Ethanol companies, investors now eyeing on alternative fuel related like agricultural and undeveloped land around the world. Predicting the values will increase tremendously because of ethanol and bio-fuel are crop-based and the demand for bio-fuel and ethanol will be the alternative fuel of the future

The AES Corporation-one of the world's largest global power companies, with 2005 revenues of US$11.1 billion-announced plans to invest approximately $1 billion over the next three y ears to expand the company's alternative energy business..." -April 17, 2006

Ethanol Africa will begin with an investment of R700 million ($100 million) in a plant in Bothaville, South Africa, according to reports. The plant is expected to be in full production next year, producing up to half-a-million liters of bio-ethanol.

UCE is intending to construct a $200 million fuel ethanol plant. The plant will produce 400 million litres of ethanol annually and will be one of the largest ethanol production facilities in Canada.

Investec, the owner of South Africa's fifth-biggest bank, is studying opportunities to fund biodiesel and natural gas-fired power projects in Australia to expand investments in clean energy.

Branson sees a new fortune to be made in reinventing the fuel business. He is investing in conventional ideas like ethanol plants and solar power. He is also developing a formula for a new ultraclean fuel that can power his jets as well as cars and trucks. Over the next four years, there will be estimated of $1 billion investment in alternative fuels. Exploring whole series of different things like building ethanol plants, looking into wind power, solar and developing a new kind of fuel.
